Go Pepsi or go home. The new sub needs a ceramic Pepsi bezel and to get rid of that awful polished center link. Folks say that you'll adjust to the new GMTIIc in time. I won't.

If it is one with 3186 movement then I would go with the pepsi if the same price. It's just a little more collectible IMO. But get the one that you love.

I was also in this same fog of confusion a little less than a year ago. However I already had the Pepsi, (2002 K serial #) and was considering a trade-in so I could upgrade to the ceramic bezel GMT II. For me, my issue was with the continual fading of the red enamel on the bezel. I thought the ceramic bezel would eradicate the fading red color enamel, (which I have replaced twice) and the green 24 hour hand...Well I just liked it over the red.

Unfortunately I was very discouraged at the price tag for a new SS Oyster watch, and after very careful consideration, felt that the timeless clasic design of the Pepsi, along with the duplicate design I possessed in my Tudor Submariner, were the right choices.

After keeping a closer eye on the Rolex market and seeing how the demand for the classic GMT II, has increased I have no regrets making the decision. I now own two collectible time pieces.
To wit, having both watches polished, which included a factory service of the Tudor Sub, and a replacement bracelet.

If you can get a Pepsi, strike while the iron is hot. They will only get more expensive as time goes on.

16710 would be my choice, but not at $7k that's far to steep

Pepsi still not worth $7K, IMO...although I do suppose some would pay that for BNIB / Stickers etc...

Some sellers are asking astronomical prices in our Classified section.

At that price I would go GMT IIC.

pepsi for me every day of the week - they are getting v difficult to find from reuptable sources - and its my fave Rolex of all time!!!
