Can't vote in the Poll because I'm the UAE. I have no interest whatsoever in the SS Daytona so have not checked them out in ADs, but I've noticed the preowned ones are on sale in abundance and they're not selling.

When I was picking up my 16610LV on saturday, there was a white one in the display case.
Around November last year, my other AD called me, said they had a black & a white, if I wanted either, they would give me a nice discount on it. ( In excess of our sales tax, which isn't cheap). So, I would say , at least around here, they are not selling that well.

I have collected watches for years and having an AD with an available Daytona was not the norm. In most of the shops I go to I have never seen a SS on display.
I did get lucky this past December as I went in to look at a DJ II and during our conversation I mentioned that I collected watches. The sales associate mentioned that he had something I may like, I did not expect him to bring out from the safe a SS Daytona in the plastic shipping box. We were able to work out a good deal and I bought a timepiece I have wanted for several years. I do feel that the economy has created more availability, in NC where I live there are people who have sufferred and high-end shopping has not been the same. However I do not feel that the watch has lost its luster. My 2 Cents.

It was funny when I bought mine back in 09. I walked in this ad in New Jersey and asked the sa if they have a daytona in stock, and the sa told me no without even thinking. When I walked out the store to mine car that was parked a block away, the owner ran out the store and said she had 1 in the safe that she could sale me. When we got back to the store she was pretty upset about what the sa did.
