J-LC again - Master Reserve de Marche
OK, so this week I have been looking at J-LCs, One of the best watch brands available, IMHO. I've ruled out the Master Calendar on the basis that it's a bit too "thick" for my taste, sitting very high off the wrist, it need to be adjusted every non-31-day month, plus I already have a triple-date moonphase watch.
The Reverso is a classic which I might explore in the future. But the J-LC I really like is the Master Reserve de Marche. It's nice and understated at 37mm, I love the Dauphine hands, and the finish on the movement is stunning. Any owners? Any issues? Any discount guidelines? TIA, |

What is the other triple-date Moonphase you have?

I don't own this one, but I do own 2 JLCs currently to include the Master Calendar and I think like you said that they are one of the best.
Nice choice.

I just am not a fan of the date indicator...
I know a window would look bad on it but I still dont care for that small wheel or where the date is on the outside of the dial with the hand indicator. Hey Im picky....

very nice.....although, i'm not convinced that a power reserve of just 40 hours is something to boast about on the dial....
is the bottom dial for the seconds hand? |

I had this watch in rose gold for a time and loved it ... only gave it up in trade for my patek annual calendar.
JLC is a wonderful watchmaker and the best value of all fine watch brands IMO. I personally like the dial indicator for dates -- it's a more classic look to me -- as well as the power reserve indicator. It's not a matter of "boasting" about the 40 hour reserve, it's just very handy to know how much reserve you have available. The watch is highly readable and mine was extremely accurate, as JLC's well crafted and tested movements usually are. I don't think you'll regret this purchase. I love my PP but I wish I still had the Reserve de Marche too. |

For some reason my computer has decided to hate TRF for the past few months so I'm just seeing this now. I've had my RDM for a few months now and it's quickly become my favorite watch. PM me for any more details as typing from an iPhone is quite tedious.

Tried on the RDM and it's a great piece but I wanted a GMT function so I got the Hometime instead. JLC makes great watches.

OK, so as luck would have it, Greg (Mosco) has a beautiful example of the JLC RDM. Freshly-serviced, just under 3 years old, and a really nice deal. Money is on its way, and I can hardly wait to wear this stunning watch.
Nice one, Greg! |

JLC makes wonderful watches, the RDM is a terrific model, and Greg is an absolute top-notch seller. Sounds like things lined up very nicely, indeed. Congratulations.
