what is the difference? rolex

Rolex explorer and air king--they are the same? --are they design for a specific purpose?

They are two completely different models. The Explorer is 36mm (classic) or 39mm (new style) and only comes in a black dial with smooth bezel.

The Air King is 34mm and comes in a variety of dial colors, as well as a couple bezel configurations.

Completely different history as well.

my suggestion is try them both on first. I have seen many order the AK and find that a 34mm is just too small.

I had one for a while... and yeah, it was too small, but could be right for you. Wont know until you try them on.

Rolex is Rolex....that's all.

Try it and take what you like...both are equally good, with a true history, you cannot make a wrong decision!
