We all here like Rolex including me, and recent years there has been, in my opinion, a quality issue with Rolex. They may be mass produced but the prices they command one would expect more in the way of perfection. Certainly most faults are cosmetic that should be picked up before the watch is sold.

Perhaps if we list faults that we have experienced here it would help us all on our future purchases on what to look out for?

I have had hands misalignment on my GMT IIc, the 24 hr and hour hands.

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried to have it addressed and fixed? I own a couple and I haven't noticed any faults with any of mine.

Well, my sd has....is.....perfect! Sorry but I cannot find any flaw with the SD! ( except that it's been discontinued )

After buying a dozen or so new Rolex's over the years I've yet to discover any manufacturing errors or blemishes. Maybe I'm just lucky.

There is a small speck or scratch on the dial of my Sub. I didn't even notice it for a few months. And when the watch was 9 months old the hand-winding mechanism broke. Apparently it was quick fix but my watch was away for a week. Wasn't too happy about it.

It's hard to tell on my ones, all the hands are moving but I guess they shows correct time at least twice a day.

The pearl on my Deepsea's bezel cracked badly when accidentally hit against a door and there's a faint black smudge next to the number 3 in the date wheel of my TT ceramic Sub.

Both are V series, bought new from an AD.

Also they die when I don't wear them for a while and I can't get my old Daytona (6263's and 6241) to start on their own when my wrist moves!

My gmt2c is too beautiful, it distracts me while I am driving. That's definitely a fault! :)

Roll the date back to the previous date after advancing the time 12 hours and see if that helps? Had a few drinks tonight so forgive me if I am not thinking clearly!
