Jason Maloney's gonna lose his pilots lisence !

This nut, Jason Maloney, 24 and a med student at Georgetown landed - without declaring an emergency - on the Rockaway Beach today !

Hopefully, we wont see this idiot doing any procedures- uhem, maneuvers- in healthcare ever !

They had a transcript of the conversation he had with the Control Tower at JFK in the post yesterday (I know, it's the Post) and it seemed like he just wanted to do this with his friends on board (both passengers were in their early 20's). Kind of a risky stunt to try and pull, but from what the conversation looked like, there was no dire emergency.

But who knows...

Seriously what an idiot. I cannot believe he did this. First he tells the Tower he might have engine trouble then he says they have a sick passenger. Unreal.

Reminds me of a story I honestly read about in flying magazine several years ago. Seems a pilot landed his cessna in the middle of no-where in a field because he had to: "Relieve himself." He landed fine, but when he tried to take off, he clipped a low-wire fence, flipped the plane over and crashed. He walked away, but the plane was totalled to the sum of over $150,000.

Now let's see....

Cost of a new pair of underwear... $8.00 ?
Cost of a new pair of Blue Jeans... $50.00 ?
Cost of a new (if necessary) seat cushion... $100.00 ?

Cost of damage to the plane... $150,000.00 (+)

Hmmmmm......

Nope, no matter how you add it up, he made the wrong decision.

I just read he has now been hospitalized for seizures . . . maybe that has something to do with the questionably judgement.

Possibly... Or he had panic attacks after relizing what he had done... Or his lawer INDUCED some medical ailment.... It's all up for speculation. We may never know the truth.
