hello forum! i am a new member, joined just to learn more about the world of watches so that i can be better informed before getting my hubby his 40th birthday present. so here it goes, he wants a winder. he has a rolex yatch master chronometer; a paneria (i dont know what type) and an old fashioned omega. i am leaning toward an Orbita Sierra 3. it seems to have all the required turns, bi-directional requirements and a good look/price. but there is someone in the family pushing me toward an underwood. everything i read out there says Orbita is the way to go. i see nothing on the merits of the underwood. thoughts???? thanks.

I can't help you with the Underwood, but Orbita is a fine product and they stand behind it.
I also read that the Brookstone one (I don't know who supplies them) was pretty good for the price and function.

I use Wolf winders.

Orbita's are quite good from what I understand, never heard of Underwood, and yes brookstone makes a great affordable winder.

I hear nothing but amazing things about Orbita. The only thing stopping me is the $$$ they want for one. I bought a triple winder for about $400 and could not be happier

I would rather take the additional $$$ from the winder purchase and get another watch

You can not go wrong with an Orbita. Maybe get a double winder and a nice watch box. I would never put my vintage watches on a winder.

Cannot say enough good things about my Orbita. Delt with Sabrina right from the factory and she was fantastic.

I'd say go with the Orbita as they are well made!!!

Check out the for sale section here- I know Wolfgang has a 3 watch orbita winder that might fit the bill.Good luck.
