Rolex Stolen.....?????

I wanted to start a thread of people who have actually had there rolex stolen off there wrist or held up by someone that says "give me your watch"!!!!!

I have seen numerous posts asking if it is safe to wear there watch in various cities around the world. This forum is made up of people who live all over the world. So why is everyone so scared?

It can happen.

I've been held up, at gun point, in St Paul, MN twice.

Still live here and still wear nice watches everywhere - I'm a slow learner I guess.

And yet......I've been all over the world, and have worn a Daytona for most of the time, and even having been armed (concealed) much of the time, and finding myself in some rather unsavory places, I have never had even one confrontation. Maintaining proper "presence" and paying attention to ones surroundings often minimizes or even eliminates your inclusion into the potential "victim" category.......in my opinion and experience.

Because half those threads are just jokin' around, not for real. Read them for the tone of voice and you'll see it.

I agree some are joking around but there seem to be some serious ones asking.

I did not recover the watches. Homeowners insurance was a big help.
