Yes a small date aperture at 3 5 6 or 12 is a must to me.

Yes, I do need a date. Throughout the day I need to sign and date documents. With all that is going on, business wise, and remembering a sh!t load of passwords I have trouble remembering the date. Maybe because I have always had a watch with a date. Who knows, it I had a non date watch for a while my brain may adjust.

I love reading date vs non-date threads. I've gone back and forth between the Sub and Sub Date, missing the date with one, missing the clean minimalism with the other. Someday I'll decide.

On a sidenote, I'm really disappointed with the level of douchebaggery directed at the threadstarter. It's ugly.

Don't need the date. I have some with and some without. Without is a much cleaner look IMO

I don't need the date. My electronics and all of the calenders at work remind me enough times what the date is.

Yep, tried to live w/o it with a 14060, and it didn't work out.

I sold the no date sub, and went for an SD.

Definitly need the date complication.

My two cents...
I am surprised how often I look at my wrist for the date; for now it's no problem but when the Daytona enters the daily rotation, I am concerned that I may miss the date. But, it's a nice problem to have...and I am looking forward to that "problem".

I used to think I needed a date, until the Speedmaster became my daily wearer.

Now, I spend thirty seconds in the morning looking at the calendar and silently repeating the date to myself. No problem remembering the date.

Since I have been wearing the Milgauss in place of my GMT, I find I do miss the dat feature, although prior to the GMT, when I consistently wore the Daytona, I never felt I was missing anything.......

Four possibilities:

1. Date is useful, prefer appearance of date
2. Date is not useful, prefer appearance of no date
3. Date is useful, prefer appearance of no date
4. Date is not useful, prefer appearance of date

I'm no. 3.

I am appalled at the rudeness by three of the members on this thread. The "new guy" has a perfectly valid reason for posting in a larger font and the three members go off all nuclear on him. And what is the point of the yellow bs? Same with trying to call him a troll? Boy if I was one of the moderators id be giving you one and only one warning about that kind of behavior. Perhaps you haven't seen Chris' thread in the open discussion forum about poor treatment of new members? Search for it. It is a good read.
End of sermon.

The people who live on this forum will give you crap for the question but since I can see that you have not many posts I understand that you don't go on the forum a lot. So I think it is a very reasonable question. And would you rather have a conversation with someone or just look up a conversation and read it? Of course you would rather be apart of the conversation. Plus there are new people reading the forum all time who haven't had the chance to contribute to a particular thread or even read it at all. I've never seen a thread with this question asked before. It's sad that there are people on here so high and mighty that think questions aren't good enough for them. And to answer your question, I can't live without a date on my watch. When it was in the shop, I bought a non-date watch. Big mistake.

To answer your question: No, not really. Sometimes I just shoot the crap with some friends and do the single mingle. I guess if you're a politician you can pay for services as well.
