Authenticity of Explorer II 16570

Hey guys,

Looking at this Exp II - wondering about authenticity; everything looks good to me, but you guys are by far the experts :).

T serial, movement seems to work correctly (clockwise setting), etc. Bracelet seems to be reasonably aged as well. What do you guys think?

Bracelet end links are 501B. No diver clasp extension fliplock bracelet.

Thanks!

Looks genuine, a bit beat up, but real.

I would get a new bezel and leave the case unpolished though.

Are you nervous about the seller?

Looks ok in these photos...the Expy II is not a highly knocked off Rolex.

Looks good. While I don't mind scratches too much, the bezel on the EXP2 is best when in a as new condition, somehow it really emphasizes the scratches.

Can't see anything unusual about the watch but the bracelet looks fake to me, the thumb indent in the clasp looks all wrong.

The experts will be along shortly to give a more qualified opinion however.

When determining a reasonable price for this one though, please factor in the cost of a new bezel. That ding near the 8 is WOW.

I like the look of it. To me the scars give it character!
I wouldn't pay the same price as for a pristine one, but I wouldn't refurb that one if it was the right money...

The watch itself looks legit...and generally one good way to tell a fake EXPII right off the bat is that due to the mov'ts used, the 24hr hand is the bottom hand (closest to the dial) and not placed in between the hour and minute as it is on a genuine Rolex.

Well spotted, just looking at mine the thumb indent is more rounded

The bracelet looks fine to me...

The watch looks legit and perfect for a daily wearer! I'd pay $2500 for it!

For a GMT2/Explo2 mvmt (3085/3185/3186) this is enough to be sure at 99% the watch is genuine.

Fake I've seen never reproduce this complication.

As yours should have a 3185, you can verify that one complete crown revolution makes the hour hand jumps 5-6 timezones/hours.

I actually like the beat up look. It's exactly what I'm looking for in an ExpII

I sold Zack this watch and am surprised there is no consensus on the authenticity of the bracelet and/or clasp. This was factored into the final heavily discounted price.

For future reference this is the watch bought from seller crsmith1234.
When I bought it there was no mention of the clasp problem.

Looks great, the GMT hand is where it should be. Fake ones usually sits on the lowest stack.

As mentioned way earlier, the crown on the clasp is way wrong. Have a look at the circle on the cornet, it's almost perfectly round. It should be oval.
