DSSD wind-up!

Hello, just been wondering ive had a deepsea for about a year now and have never wound it up, just relied on the auto wind when its stopped. Is this ok or should i physically wind it up every now and again? Any thoughts??

There is not any reason to manually wind an automatic watch - that is the point of the auto movement. However, if the watch has run down completely and stopped (as is the case if you have not worn it for some days and hence it has no tension in the spring), you should give it a manual wind to get it started - 30-40 turns before wearing. This will ensure you start out with a full power reserve which the auto will then maintain while you are wearing it.

Some feel it's a good idea to manually wind every once in a while (even if it doesn't "need" it) just to keep things properly lubed and exercised.
