Hi guys,

Just like porridge!! Some like it hot and some like it cold - but not sure who likes it in the pot nine days old!!

Well, we can start with the Sub-dates. There's still so much more love for the older TT Blue Sub 16613 as opposed to the new one. Same goes with the SS Sub-date 16610 - still eagerly sought after over the new Sub-C.

And how about the NEW Exp-II? Most of us are raving and ranting well in advance over this beauty and I'm sure it's bound to overtake the older model.

Then we have the older TOG - still quite popular as compared with the new one.

And how can we forget the original GMT-II, especially with the ever popular PEPSI bezel. I'm sure there are guys out there who would gladly opt for that one over the new GMT-IIC.

The Daytona is a mixed bag of tricks. The older ones with the Zenith El-Primero movement still commands a lot of respect and demand over the newer models with the in-house movement.

So I guess we would have mixed feelings on the above. Only problem is that with Rolex quickly disontinuing the older models, these may be hard to find as the years roll by.

Hang onto those older classics, guys. They will always hold their value!!

It's all preference: there is something refreshing about the new Rolex models. Certainly another discussion, but the new Sub C feels like a whole other watch on your wrist versus the 16610. Much "richer" and more solid feeling, while keeping classic styling cues in mind. To each his own!

I’ve tried liking the newer models; however, I seem to throw them back into the pond a few months after owning. However, I stick with the classic models. They just look right and feel right.
