Timing hiccup?

My Sub generally runs approx. +1.5 sec./day. I set it -30 seconds once a month and check it about once a week.

Got a little surprise on Monday morning this week when it had "jumped" to about +7. I re-set it -30, gave it a full wind and have been checking it each morning since Monday. It seems to be "coming back to normal" as it has been +6, +5 and +4.5 today.

Is this something anyone else has experienced?

Cause for concern?

Appreciate any info from the experts, thanks!

No cause for any concern gravity, resting positions of wrist, different wearing habits temperatures etc all have a effect on all mechanical watches.Thats why they are tested in 5 different positions and different temperatures. But even if set on a machine perfect beat rate, it don't mean that it will perform exactly the same on the wrist. Now the escapement of a mechanical watch in 24 hours pushes the gears 432,000 times and a day has 86,400 seconds. So for any mechanical watch to be within say -4 to + 6 seconds a day is a mechanical marvel. My advice is just set your watch to the correct time, and reset once a week only, at the maximum rate your watch is showing it would be only around 42 seconds fast per week.
