Icon5 Breitling Superocean reference 2005

I have seen several Breitling Superocean reference 2005, being offered recently.

What do you think of their resale value and are parts easy to come by, should one is required?

Last but not least, how collectible are these vintage Superoceans, compared to Rolex?

Resale is poor. Repair and parts are no problem. I think the SO is a fabulous watch.

As far as I know, they`re not collectible at all, so any comparison with Rolex Sub on that matter is impossible.
On the other hand, that is one of the best diver watches around, my dad have it and, four years after I bought it for him, it still runs at +1 seconds per day!
It`s water resistance is superior by far compared to Rolex Sub (it`s more on SD territory), and it`s built quality is really spectacular. And it`s relatively common movement (ETA 2824-2) is COSC certified, which means it`s highest grade that can be provided by ETA, and is very easy to service.
Point is, poor resale value aside, SuperOcean is way to go, IMHO!

this watch is serious bang for the buck. like already stated the resale is not good. but if you are picking up this piece pre loved there should be no issue.

Bought one for my son when he graduated High School........that was back in 2004/ He wears it everyday, its never been service and is as rugged and dependable as a watch can be.

The Superoceans are wonderful watches for everyday use and can be had on the resale market for extremely reasonable prices as they not a highly collectible watch/

Good luck!!!!!
