Rolex in the family...

Looks like my minor obsession with Rolex has finally rubbed off on other members off my family...

Spoke to my brother earlier today - he's just bagged himself his 1st Rollie. A nice new SS GMT II and at the same time a TT Ladydate with diamond markers for my sister-in-law also her 1st.

The deal for both models 10% off list
which I thought was a pretty good one and proof that the SS GMT II bubble won't last long.

I'll try and get him to post pics when he collects them both at the weekend.

yes i told him that was a good deal - bound to get better in a while - but considering it's such a new model I thought that was pretty good - obviously the 2 watch purchase helped...

Yeah, of course it helps to buy TWO watches at a time to get a discount.

But still! Pretty amazing!

by the way given our recent thread about SS Daytonas kept in the safe for big spenders he did ask if there was any chance getting a SS Daytona at the same time as these 2... they just laughed and said - sorry mega waiting list...

Seems £7.5k ish isn't enough to do the trick...

Most AD only sell Daytonas to long-established customers. And even if you bought for 100,000 £ he still wouldn't have one. That "safe" thing is dubious IMHO.

Yes, it does help. I just ordered two last week at my local AD. Got 15% off the wife's rose gold TT DJ and 19% off my SS TOG.

tbh Adam we're both as bad at that habit as each other... he's only just sold his MINI Cooper S Works and bought a ZM Coupe. LOL
