Why the 2nd post? No lifetime warranty. Under warranty just need your warranty papers.

The original is 2 years only and you need the warranty card, completely and properly filled out. RUSA does not recognise it as transferrable, but Dallas tends to overlook that detail, by report. There is also an after service warranty as well, also likely not transferable in NY.

No. Rolex won't even make part available for a lifetime.

So are you saying in the US the warranty doe NOT follow the watch, it follows the buyer ?

Thus, within the 2 yr warranty period it would not apply to a 2nd owner ?

Thats correct in the USA but Rolex does not have a picture of the person that bought the watch or check you are the person on warranty papers. And its very very rare for any warranty work to be needed anyway in the warranty period.

Just for my own edification please confirm.

You are saying that if I bought a named and dated warranteed Rolex with someone elses name on it and it needed warranty work w/n the warranty period I could send it to a RSC and they wouldnt find it suspicious that the watch was being sent back to a different name and address ??

Or if I personally brought it in to a RSC they wouldnt ask for a picture ID to confirm its me on the paperwork ?

It's not possible for anybody to answer this question...

All we can say is that Rolex Corporate (NYC) stated policy is that the warranty is non-transferrable to a third party..
