PAM 232.. to buy or not to buy?
I was offered by friend this limited edition of Panerai, 232. It's in PRISNTINE condition. However, my friend here, is a dork. He misplaced all the boxes and papers.
And I *KNOW* he misplaced it, because at the time of purchase, I was there with him. I tried ransacking his room and couldn't find the box. Neither could he. So, he's asking for 7.5k USD for it, as is. If he finds the box he'll give it to me. You think it's a good buy?

Shade,
The going rate for 232 is around $10K, Isn't It? No B&P for $7500----Hmmm...I'm interesting! IMO...I think It's a deal! And, If he found the box & papers, IF HE FOUND, he gonna give it to you too, right? and for how much more? |

Anyhow, the link you gave me is very interesting, but I just remembered I need to factor in the insurance and also the shipping cost. So I'd talk to the seller first and do some comparison. :)

I tend to think the going rate of the 232 is about $8K. some of the big internet grays want close to $10K but I think it can be had for around $8K complete...
so your friend is giving you a great deal (if he can find the papers..) I used to be more of a 45mm guy, but with the addition of the Cali, I would have to say, the 232 is worth picking up...hell..I may just pick one up to complete the Rad collection...LOL..then again..you already got the Cali as well..mind as well complete it... good luck!

it is very good price, then again, with Panerai limited piece, you'd really want to have all boxes and papers, especially the scroll - unless you know 120% that this is going to be a keeper or you dont care if you have to sell it in the future for "even less" $$$.
had a chance of picking up a LNIB 232 last year, but the dealer did not have the scroll and have promised to keep on looking for it, so they can send it to me . i told them to give me a call when they have everything for me..... that was almost 12 months ago |

buy
It's a buy! The lowest I've seen without papers was $6800 but, not knowing the sealer made it a pass. You know the watch. The box might reappear .... buy buy buy

Im actually having some doubts now. Checking up on my california, the 47mm size is quite large on my wrist. It actually sits from edge to edge on mine. I spoke privately with Mik and his idea of putting gold hands on the 210 is actually brilliant. Yes I dont get the tobacco dial nor the limited edition nature of it, but Id get to wear it more often I think.. Hmm decisions decisions..
Not to mention the 210 plus gold hands combo works out at a friendlier price too..

I guess the big difference between OEM and non OEM is the quality of the lume. And, of course the price! |

I have c3 super lume. I can honestly not tell the difference. Here is a lume test... I laid the hands I was going to put on my 210 on top of the 210. They were still wrapped in plastic.
