Thinking of getting the DSSD
Guys, here's my wrist and my gmt.
do you think my wrist would fit the DSSD? Have not tried it yet though. I'm dropping by the AD this weekend. |

Honestly do I, no....
My wrists are 6.8 in and I felt the DSSD was too big for me Looking at the pic of the GMT IIC I suspect your wrists are smaller. Either way its what you think that really matters.

Go to your AD and check it out.
Only you can truly determine what will be comfortable to you.

Now to the OP, to be blunt, the GMT looks to big on you and so will the DSSD! Not to mention, you're not in Amsterdam are you!?!?!

Try it on then make your decision. Try not to get wrapped up in the moment of having a new rolex on your arm when deciding, although it will be very difficult. Enjoy the ad experience this weekend, hope it's an enjoyable one.

My $.02 -- Go for the Sea Dweller 16600. It will fit you much better.

Have to agree with Rob. The GMT looks big so the DSSD will be way too big IMHO.

GMT is awesome and glad you have it. But you asked, so DSSD would be huge on your wrist if the GMT looks big now. Stick with GMT.

The DSSD is a timepiece that is one of my top watches of all time, but I would also put the SD in the same category. I have a 7.25 wrist(give or take) and I wear a 42mm watch well. However, if you have smaller wrists it might not look right. I wear a "Z" SD and I LOVE it. Owned a Sub as well, which is also amazing, but after the SD there is no other(until DeepSea). Haha
Go try it on! Just my .02 |

As others have said, try it on and see how you like it but from my personal experience, I think the DSSD will be way too big for you. Keep us posted. You may like it.

The GMT looks pretty big on your wrist. I can't help but think a DSSD will look HUGE. My 2 c's.

It wears suprisingly well given it's size..
Not for everyday if you ask me but a very cool watch to have in your collection.
Have fun trying it on and let us know how it goes.. |

But hey, try it on and see what it looks like. The Sub C might be a better choice. I'm 6'8 and have huge hands and wrists and the Sub C looks fine on me, on you it'll seem like a large watch, and it offers most of what the DeepSea does. |

The DSSD would fit any wrist but the issues are whether it would look out of proportion and in whose eyes - if you feel comfortable with it on and it looks good to you, then don't worry about what others think, just enjoy the watch.

I ran through your original post really quick and I thought you had on the DSSD... and I was going to say that you barely make the cutoff for the DSSD based on the pic.
Then I looked back and you had on the GMTIIC.... then I realized that your wrists are too small for the DSSD IMO.

To each his own but the GMTIIc looks too big for your wrist & the DSSD would look comical.

Who cares what other people think. Most people on here seem to think that you have to HAVE a certain size wrist to pull it off. I completely disagree and its your personal choice, style and comfort level. Like most things in the world, everything gets updated, modernized and more up to today's styles. Thank God, other Rolex models are having their sizes increased as well and will appeal to the new generation of consumers.

Honestly, no. Looks like it would be way to big for your wrist.
It's your decision though... |

...and just to clarify, there is no minimum wrist size or anything like that.
It does look ridiculous when someone is wearing a watch that is obviously way to big for them based on their body size. |

No way, I have a DSSD and a superocean 44mm..My wrists are small. The DSSD is a very powerful watch. Its large but not like an invicta, those things are like sundials..Not the dssd. Especially since you have my (dream) watch the GMT..dont worry what others will think...if you can get it GET IT!!! You wont regret it

You asked so I will respond. After viewing your GMTc photo I think the DSSD would be too large.

I am not so concerned about the size as I am the watch itself.
For me, the watch is top heavy as it is so thick. Day in and day out, I need comfort first. Don't get me wrong it is not unmanageable, just with so many great choices like the GMT IIc you are wearing, why?
