Swapping OEM deployant clasp between straps - possible?
Hi folks,
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I have to ask it. I'm new to Panerai and would like to know if it's possible to put the deployant clasp that came on the leather strap onto the rubber strap. Thank you in advance. |

Yes you can swap it to the rubber strap. However there are some leather straps that are too thick to fit in the deployant.

Uh unscrew the one side, and push the pin out. On the side you adjust holes, you push the pin pushers out.

There are no screws to speak of on the sides. There is a tiny screw on the underside of the clasp and that's all but I imagine it would be a bitch to screw back in once out.

You don't have to unscrew it completely to get the pin out, but, if you happen to go too far, it's not hard to get it back in. |

Got it! Thanks, guys. I've been wanting to change to the rubber strap so I don't ruin the leather one in this heat. :)

It was a pain to change the deployant buckle. I dropped the small screw onto the floor and it took me a while to find it. The tang buckle is easier to swap and more comfortable IMO.

You could always buy an aftermarket tang or deployant buckle. Makes life easier..

the OEM deployand is fiddly for strap changes, from the tiny screw to try to thread the hole side strap in. I have both that and a tang buckle. have decided i am a tang person, strap changing is so much easier.
that said, i have bought several buckles so i dont need to change the buckle everytime i do a strap change |
