Part III

the clasp; note the "EO" marking, denoting 2007, but there is no "month" number...

the 3/6/9 markers

close up;

we checked my M version against an old Y version my AD had in the store, and the markers were the same material, but the newer ones are square/much bigger, vs. the older ones that were rectangular and harder to see. the AD said that many people are confusing the new markers with sapphire, but that they are just enamel, same as the old markers.

the clasp..

The Band: it said it was buffalo

next, in part IV i will remove the plastic.....stay tuned

That is one beautiful watch. I think this may be the second one I've seen in the last couple of days which is unheard of. This is as close as many of us will ever get to that watch so congrats and thanks for sharing. Great pics btw.

Part IV

Removing the plastic;

i couldnt help myself, i just HAD to take off this piece of plastic and didnt record the before and after pictures; sorry, it wont happen again. note that i did stick the plastic on the metal so you could at least get the idea it was there and where it came from ...

this is a "before" of another piece of plastic ....

another "before" to make up for the last series where i forgot the "before" pic

and after removing it....

the back; note no hologram, just a piece of plastic

now the face with the bezel protector on.

and with it off

And finally, on my wrist!!!!

you will have to wait for me to remove the rest of the plastic from the watch, and im not sure you really want to see that documented....

That is a SWEET watch!! Congrats, and wear it in good health.

IMHO the brown strap is the best way to go on that watch.

Abso-freaking-ly stunning! I'm not the biggest Daytona fan, but I dig your watch. Is that SS or WG?

Congratulations Mark. The dial and the red hands are knockouts.

Beautiful watch, Mark! The red hands really set it off. Are you letting the chrono function run all the time?

That watch isn't available in SS. All of the special dials are WG. Also SS is only on a bracelet.
