Icon10 Incoming: Vintage Gold...

1969 Meters First Gold Sub: 1680/8. I just got her from my friend Mr. Eric Ku. She actually comes from an original owner and has had one home her whole life. She is in mint condition and truly a rare bird with original Patent Pending bracelet. I ordered her a custom shell cordovan bund which Mr. Attila Aszodi of LA is making for me as we speak! Thanks Eric as always-you are a class act and gentleman!! She will have a great home with me!

Ken, big congrats!!! That vintage gold Sub is one of my grails. However, I personally prefer the blue dial. As a matter of fact just today a few hours before your post I told my wife that she needs to get me one for my 40th birthday next year.

Again big congrats!!! Beautiful piece!!!!

Thanks!!! I like the blue a lot but for me- I wanted the Meters First which was only made for a year on this watch in 1969- so there are very few out there in mint condition on Patent Pending bracelet.

It'll get lonely without a blue colour change dial 1680/8 to keep it company.

I was just checking that out. I might have to give this one some thought myself.
