TRF Ladies (and gents..) what do you think?
I'm a female in mid 30s and am in a market for a white dial sporty yet feminine watch for me. I'm interested in getting a 116200 white dial roman or white stick. And at the same time, I find the Omega AT 38.5mm black indexes and diamond markers quite attractive as well. I understand they are quite different watches. The 116200 would show my sporty side and the AT would show my feminine side. Ladies and gents which one would you choose?
1. 116200 white roman/stick 2. AT 38.5mm in bracelet I cant find the wrist action on omega bracelet. I was able to get one of the version w/ white strap. Thanks for reading and looking forward for your input. |

The rolex is more beautiful and a better buy imo.
The rolex has lasting value, something you can keep for the rest of your life and maybe pass down one day. I'm not sure I could say the same for the omega. Oh and I think the roman's are slighty nicer for a lady. |

Welcome to the forum. Sorry a little biased but I like the Rolex more based on the two choices but its your decision and follow your heart :)
Would it be a oyster or jubilee bracelet? |

My feeling is that you have two relatively sporty looks in these two, not one that's more feminine. The Omega AT is known to be an analog to the DateJust, and it is, visually. (The black markers make it more sporty, to me, not more feminine.)

Seamaster
I am a Rolex fan, But I have current Seamaster that I wear often. I selected a quartz model because I have enough autos to keep running. I put it on rubber strap just for the change of pace from the metal bands on my other watches. Its a great value and you can find them on Ebay from reputable dealers at good prices- sometimes nib. Jomashop.com also has them. I restored a 1963 Seamaster with a new old stock original band. I had a Rolex TT Sub long before I bought the Seamaster. The Seamaster draws less attention where attention is unwanted- Mexico, etc. Still love my Rolexes. Unfortunately, for women who do not care for the full size versions there are fewer choices. Best of luck.

Personally, I am a huge fan of the newer style DJ and DD white roman dial. As a matter of fact, I have the white roman dial on my 118209. The Rolex white roman dial is incredibly versatile, and looks great dressed up or dressed down.

Thanks for the input so far. I was flipping back and forth images between the white dial roman vs AT. The white dial roman is slightly winning...

I will vouch for the beauty of the Rolex white dials, both Roman and batons (sticks). I love the Roman especially.

Take a look at the white dial Milgauss - that may satisfy both 'sides'. Although typically a men's watch, it looks great on women, IMO - just like the Daytona does.

The Aqua Terra line
are beautifully made and a bargain price for what you get. I think that one looks great if your wrist will carry off the (relatively) large size.

i like the look of that Omega..... i personally don't think any roman numeral watch can look sporty
my wife has the 35mm (mid size) two tone yachtmaster with white face....she loves it - versatile, sporty and dressy ....all in the one |

If the cal. 8500 based Aqua Terra was available when I was choosing my 116200, I would have chosen that instead. The cal. 8500 is a better movement, in my opinion

It always comes down to which 'smiles' at you when on your wrist
That being said, my vote is definitely for the DJ! SO classic and timeless, especially with the white roman dial which is by far, my very favorite!!! I have it on my 116234 and it still blows me away! Go with your heart! |

This is an interesting post for me, as the wife and I have a wedding aniversary coming up (39th - August 29th) and I am thinking of purchasing a new Rolex for her. I purchased a new 69178 18k Lady President with Rolex diamond bezel and red vignette diamond dial for her in 1992 for our wedding aniversary, and it is still keeping perfect time. It is her favorite watch - she is definitely a Rolex gal (she has two)! I am thinking the DJ II for her, although I know she would also love a Federique Constant Amour Heartbeat (apparently, an automatic of in house manufacture).
Will be monitoring this post for suggestions - especially from you TRF gals!! If you have pictures of your favorite, please post. J. Alan |

I quite like both, the Rolex white roman dial is brilliant, but the AT has its own unique look as well.
Don't even consider the resale or residual value, its a ladies watch and its going to tank anyway, buy the one that you love

Thanks TRF for the inputs . Decided to go with this one and got the package today. Extremely happy with this piece. I understand how some people here raving about the white roman dial. So classy, subtle and such a timeless piece. Sorry for the crappy blackberry pix.
