If we're going to get any idea what the Random Serials are all about.. We need to do some research..

It's kind of tricky because many owners do not want to reveal their serial numbers... or at least parts of it..

If you have a random serial number - Post it using XXX as the FIRST three digits.. for example" XXX3Q785

Let's see if we can figure anything out..

Great Idea...but I think missing out the first three numbers/letters may be
difficult at least on mine ?..so ive left out last two numbers only as otherwise just numbers...the x at end are numbers

considering that arabic numerals only go from 0-9, can we assume A-Z corresponds to 10-35?

I have figured it out its a mixture of letters and numbers much like any product serial number. I wonder how old that TV was when I bought it and old was my transceivers when bought new.I wonder if one mixture of letters and numbers will last any longer than one with a different mixture of letters and numbers.But no matter what these serials are I still got the same warranty as with anything new today.

One thing i notice all of your serial has "X" on it...would that mean the new serial is "X"??

Correction here; A broken record would not repeat it's self, it just would not work. Now a scratch on a record would cause it to repeat over and over again.
