How about the good AD's...?
After reading Robb's story (Unbelievable Customer Service) I got to wondering how many other positive stories there are about the Rolex AD's. We're quick to bash them for poor service and other faults and I would be interested in hearing some of the good stuff.
My AD did a similar thing that made me a repeat customer. I took in an old Hamilton watch to get a new leather band and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I bought a cheap $20 band and after a couple of weeks decided it wasn't going to work. The band fit okay, it was just not the right material to lay close to my wrist. Two weeks later, while in the AD for another reason, I showed the watch to him and mentioned it just didn't fit my wrist correctly. He took the watch and placed a $90 leather crocodile band on it. It was very supple and fit perfectly but I told him I didn't want to spend that much. He very politely informed me that he wasn't asking me to spend any extra money, he merely wanted me to be happy and there was no additional charge. Needless to say, that brought me back and I have received to same quality service. The wife has since bought some jewelry and in the past two months I have purchased three Rolexes. It also doesn't hurt that he has provided a nice discount on all the items. Are there any other positive stories out there?

Your's is a good story also. I was treated well by my AD but don't have that interesting of a story. I got no discount and no free parting gifts. I visited two ADs during my Rolex search. The first was more educated about Rolex but came off as a little like a snob. He gave me the impression that he didn't believe I would actually buy a watch. The second AD I went to had a little less expertise about Rolex but all the salespeople were very friendly and treated me with great respect. They brought the Sub LV out from the back without me asking. They took plenty of time in dealing with me and never rushed me even though I made several trips there before I made a purchase. It would have been nice to have gotten a discount, etc. but I really appreciated the way I was treated by them. If I decide to go though an AD on my next Rolex purchase then they will get my business again. I was a very satisfied customer.

My AD has been great. Really nice people you can trust and never high pressure. They have provided good discounts for me and other TRF members here without hesitation.

My AD gave me a Eilux single watch winder as well. Some of the sales people are nice there, but one of them is into high pressure selling which puts me off when I go there.
