I have purchase a BMW 330ci in the past but later sold it to my brother in law, so I could buy an M3. I have been driving my M3 for a few years now and have added a host of Dinan modifications to enhance the driving experience. I enjoy driving my car, but know it is depreciating all the time. My 5 year old son says he would rather have all of my watches rather than a new Porsche. He loves cars to death, but he said cars will eventually break but he will keep the watches forever. He is a smart boy.

Here in sunny Singapore, BMW cars are bought and sold in 6-digit figures, so there is never any doubt in choosing between a Rolex or a BMW. Over here, we ask ourselves whether it will be BMW or down payment to our family home.
Anyway, IMHO, both are over priced pieces of metal... get the one which will make you smile every time you see it. I envy your choices :). |

Certified Pre-Owned BMW is better than leasing. You get an extended warranty, and you can even extend the maintenance plan for a cost. Lots of nice 08's and 09's at the BMW dealers for the cost of a new Honda. It's not uncommon to get .9% financing, which is close enough to free money for me. And you don't get stuck paying for miles.
Just don't get the x3 or x5. |
