New Rolex Sub C - LN or LV
Hi all,
So after much deliberating ive decided to treat myself and purchase the new Rolex Sub C. However i am now having difficulty picking the version. I love the green LV but will the black be more suitable for everyday? HELP cheers Tomo |

If it's your only/main watch then perhaps the LN would be a safer choice however I'm sat at my desk wearing my LV with a matching green tie! Although I have a GMTIIc as well.

That is tough. I got my LN and immediately flipped for an LV. The choice is all in the eye of the beholder (cliche, I know).

I just traded my LN for the LV. Many of my other watches have black dials and, quite frankly, I was getting a little bored with the LN. I love the LV and definitely made the right choice for me.

LN for everyday, and LV to wear in a healthy rotation. I'd say go LV and get a 16610 for everyday later on down the road.

Or better yet, buy the LV C now and then pick up a 16600 SD down the road...best of both worlds.

LV if you want something a little different. I think the LV is suitable for everyday wear. It is just a matter of preference.

I know the LN is the safe option and probably better for everyday use but the LV is special.
My source has both available but I’m unsure if I want to pay the extra for the LV. Also which will retain value to the best? Cheers |

Tough one ... been there a couple weeks ago .. got the LN and didn't feel right. I got it from a nice dealer with a flexible exchange policy, so I switched for the LV which is absolutely fantastic.
Of course, now I want the LN as well ... wait, I also want the 42mm Explorer II, but ... black? white? ... arghhhh ... Anyway, In my opinion you can't go wrong with the LV, it is incredible, you'll love it. Just be prepared for wanting an LN later. |

By the way, I've been wearing the LV for a week with all kinds of colors and that's not an issue. The green is subtle and the dial looks dark most of the time.

Go green. The black is great but a bit too common IMHO. The green is really special.

There would be no doubts for me on that matter - LV all the way, because of much more interesting and unique look.

I have the LN as my everyday watch. I love it but with that said I have had the LV bug recently but I'm pretty sure I won't act on it.
If I could do it all over again I think I might go LV then get a 16600 SD down the road for my standard black option. I think my path will be LN for everyday now and then Explorer 42mm when they come out in white dial. I am happy with this combo. I do think the LN is slightly more versatile then the green but the green can be pulled off in more situations then you would expect it sounds. |

I will follow Henry Ford on this one... "you can have it on any color as long as it's black!" LN for me is the clear choice!

Maybe I am color combo challenged ... I don't really have a problem with it ...

If you love the LV then you already answered your question.
