Did you have a chance to have a good look at the markers? If so: any gaps visible under them? For me this is a 50%-50% but I'm by no means an expert!

Looks original, because of that patina and the way it fades from the darker tan to the ivory color. Not sure a re-dial would have that. Although I guess it could be a very old re-dial and that patina happened anyway. Still, I'd vote for original.

It may be an early refinish but tough without looping it. Rikki
