Daytona dial and SEL question
I am wondering what approx yr the daytona with the inverted 6 would have been produced or serial number AND when the SEL links were added. I have a W mine has the opened links and a regular 6, i have seen one with an inverted 6 with SEL links and would love to know around what yr
i thought the inverted 6 meant an older dial mkIII or mkII but the SEL links was newer?? any help |

I have an early P serial with SEL. I believe the SEL came around the late A serial.

mtgmt,
i think you might be getting confused with "SEL" vs. "polished center links". Inverted 6 never had SEL, but came with both brushed and polished center links. If you want SEL on a 16520, your options are either an A or P, but no inverted 6. Good luck with a P. My A gets very little wrist time due to the polished center link, my N with brushed center link gets all my attention. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=278979 |

I dont know if an SEL will fit, but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt as long as the case sizes are exactly the same. I havent tried it, but I guess the SEL on my A should fit on the N case.
If the seller is selling it with an SEL then either he is mistaken, incorrect bracelet or even aftermarket. Bust his chops and ask for pic of the bracelet model number. Regardless, inverted 6 did not come with SEL. |

I believe that on some models the SELs will fit within the lugs without issue but the placement of the springbar holes are different as between SEL and the former iteration.
