Australian Insurance

Looking to insure my Sub C LN on a stand alone policy,

not having any luck finding an insurance company that will insure a single item, most want to add it to the home insurance.

Anyone in Australia that knows of an insurance company/broker that will insure a single item.

There really isn't a stand alone template insurance product of that kind in Australia, a broker can sort it out for you but you have to find the right broker. Most broker will either only do it for for industry/trade purpose not personal valuable purpose or want to put you onto a home content insurance before tagging the watch on as an extra.

Stand alone insurance last quoted to me by a broker cost about $400+- to insure about watch value of $10k.

Have a look at this thread http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...surance+broker there is a contact details for a broker or a more expensive one from Chubbs.

My mom added her watch on the home and contents (QBE) insurance. you will need an evaluation certificate. but im not sure how they will payout (if the need arise). whether its new for old, or depreciated value.

Danny are you insured with them? Was it through an AD where you bought your watch from or did you go straight to them by yourself? I looked into that in the past but Q report seems to be only offered to AD/jewelry stores when you buy from these shops but not to individual aftersales?
