If repost, then sorry. I am new here...and a proud owner of TOG. For the experts, are the facts in the article above correct??

I want one of those also. Which one do you have? And do you like it?

What facts do you want to confirm?

I'm pretty sure that site deals in subjects that aren't allowed here.

I love it so far! I am sure that it will provide many years of pleasure....

The site talks about TOG being what started it all for Rolex sports watch...in 1953...so, i was just wondering if this is true?

Great looking TOG. One of my all time favorite combinations. "What started it all" could be sort of subjective. It's not a vintage TOG from the early 50's. It's a great piece on its own, regardless of any history. My Sub 14060M, sure i guess you can say its classic, but it is still a 2001 Sub, and IMHO very far from many of the desired vintage subs we all drool over here on this forum.

No doubt. However, for some reason, i thought that TOG is a recent introduction for Rolex...but, clearly, i don't know much!!

Nope, not recent. Here's a 1991 vintage that I just bought and hope to have next week.
