I have a Blackberry for work and an iPhone for personal use. Despite several irritating issues with the iPhone I still find it much nicer to use than the Blackberry.

I was recently issued a Bold from my company. Love the way the BB's do e-mail, but I love my Android for everything else!

Most major corporations are now using both Android and Iphones in their email. It is becoming mandatory that they keep up with the market and what is going on.

The Google IMAP function provides push email and it can be obtained anywhere at any time from any device. Hard to beat.

Oh, and I think texting is going to replace BB Messenger. With texting you can reach anyone with a phone.

Since iPhone 1, I've always had an iPhone and a BB.

BB is awesome for work e-mails, and iPhone for everything else.

CNET-TV has reviewed the Blackberry and basically concluded too little too late. The inference was that Rim is finished as a serious player.

The main reason I like BB for work is the keyboard for typing emails. I cannot stand my android and trying to type on the glass keyboard. That is the main advantage for me when I am going tons of work emails.

Well, if CNET says that then it must be true. Let's call RIM and tell them it's time to close the doors and everyone throw out there Blackberry and go buy an iPhone.

In my experience, the only people who answer their emails quickly, with whom you can have clear phone conversations and who never miss an appointment are the BlackBerry users. Oh, and they always have the right file handy to forward to you at any time when you need it.

C-NET is not the last word on the success or failure of tech products. They've been wrong about many things.

When QNX comes out, I think that will be a better time to judge the fate of RIM.

For all I know, RIM may go the way of the rumble seat, but then again they may develop a more perfect phone.

How many people, including tech journalists, saw the iPhone coming?

RIM's stock seems to be doing just fine to me

I'll let CNET tell me about camera pixels and keep getting business news from other sources.

I like BB and Android. They each serve different purposes, though. The voice navigation on the Android is great. But the push e-mail is amazing. Too bad we could not have two phone on the same line.

Reminds me of Linerider

RIM announced (this is not a joke, I am NOT this creative) a new music service for Blackberry.

At some point, we have to ask if one or two of the RIM CEOs are perhaps insane.

But all those fleeing users will be back. Technology users often flee a platform, then return in droves.

What are they smoking?!?!?

Try SwiftKey X. It's the best. Predictive word selection makes it uber fast and the best one handed keyboard out there.

"Investors are in the mood for bargain-hunting."

Approaching 50% of the 52 week high... still, take celebrations where we can find them I guess.

Hopefully, the competition will ease up and give them a break.

Just bought my 9900 yesterday! My 4th BB and my 3rd Bold. Great tool! The keyboard is a real pleasure and the touch screen is a welcomed addition. All the rest is perfect as usual with BB. Just does the work, in a perfect way. A bit like a Rolex really.

RIM is shipping more handsets now than ever before.. Why would they close their doors? They are also seeing pretty significant revenue growth and projected revenue growth.

Just because they aren't dominating with marketshare, doesn't mean their business isn't profitable and is on the brink of complete collapse.

My brother in law is contemplating returning to the Blackberry.

My 9700 still suits me fine with OS v6, but IF T-Mobile get bought out or otherwise screws me out of my cheap unlimited rates, then all options are back on the table.

Otherwise, this may be the next model I get.

They've had to stop reporting the key industry statistic... ARPU (Average Revenue Per Unit).

BOGO (Buy One Get One, RIM's lead strategy in North America) and low-priced Latin American sales can help your unit shipment numbers, but you'll see exactly what the link mentions... continually declining gross profit, quarter after quarter.

The old link you posted was written when the stock was at $65, before the Playbook mess was fully understood. Three months later, they released a tough earnings report and braced us for more to come.

http://www.bgr.com/2011/06/16/rim-re...isses-as-well/

Earnings will be released 9/15 and we'll find out if suspicions are true... that the mild recent bump up from the bottom in the stock price was caused by repurchase of stock.

If the two co-CEOs ever doubt how much trouble the company is in, they merely need to look at the org chart. If there are two co-CEOs at the top, you are profoundly dysfunctional.
