Green Hologram sticker question

Hi fellow TRF members. Hope you all have a wonderfull weekend. My question is. When I bought my GMT master II ceramic SS last month US released, my AD told me Rolex got away with the green hologram sticker on the back of the watch. I still see it on some ebay sellers and international released ones. Was this change for US only? Any thoughts on that?

No. The change is for all the models manufactured in 2007.
Even my SD bought few days ago in India have no green hologram.

Congrats on an excellent watch! My new Sub date didn't come with a hologram, either.

Mine's a Z879XXX.

So your Z must have been one of the last ones with the green sticker

My ss Daytona ... Z507xxx,OP12,Repeat Rolex inscription on the reflection ring.Green hologram and credit card type "papers.

Meaning ~ Most likely manufactured Dec 2006 or Jan 2007.Bracelet in Dec 2006.Green hologram, assembled perhaps 2006.Left the factory later than some more popular sporties, therefore the plastic credit card type "papers"

Well, actually I had a small crisis just earlier today! I kinda regretted having bought the Sub Date

I tried on the SD at my AD, as well, and I just think the Sub Date looks somehow "bigger" (diametre-wise, that is!) on my wrist when looking down upon the watch.

But what I like about the SD is in fact: The lack of the cyclops.

I like that it is not there! But then again I would kind of miss it, if it weren't there!

The disadvantage of the cyclops is well-known: When you look at the Sub Date from an angle, you cannot make out the date (unless you kinda "peek" underneath the cyclops which is kind of awkward).

I also like the inscription on the back of the SD and the extra thickness of the case and higher standing crystal.

But my AD has said that if I would rather have the SD, I am welcome to have it exchanged by returning my Sub. I would still get 10 % but of course am to pay the price difference.

But I think I will just keep my Sub Date

Hey...good decision to keep the sub date.... actually my 'onwnership' of the 2nd sub date came at my 'finest hour' after I sold my GMT Master II.....

went to my watch dealer...he had a pre-owned sea dweller with cert..F-series.....was trying out......kinda missed the cyclops.....but most of the time my eyes were on the showcase...a brand new piece of sub date was on display.... (bearing in mind i already owned a brand new sub date - and it was meant for keeping it for my next...gen..... oopss...)

... i was thinking perhaps it's time for me to own a brand new daily beater..... hence without 2nd thoughts...... became owner of 2 brand new z series sub date overnight....

I collected my SS GMT II mid-late July and as you can see sticker in place. It also came with Paperwork rathter than the new CC. The AD only got the watch in a few days previous.

The time keeping is pretty excellent but would finally say after 3-4 more days.
Well I'm keeping it track with my Daytona which is keeping pretty accurate time
