"The Bourne Ultimatum"....any reviews?

Hi guys,

Matt Damon's third appearance as Jason Bourne appears to be quite the block buster......The Bourne Ultimatum....seems to have received rave reviews.

Anyone seen it yet?

Comments and a brief review would be appreciated.

Thanks - JJ

I have not seen it yet but all I hear is great reviews. It's been reported that he is still wearing the Tag Link Chrono Quartz as in the first two. I'm looking forward to seeing it soon.

Thanks, Steve....yes, I remember the TAG Link he had on in the first two. Considering the rough-stuff he goes through in these films....probably the right watch!!

I saw it last night, and I keep saying to myself, this is going to be on my top ten lists.

Man, it was really a great movie, I felt like going back to pay more for the ticket since the movie was so great, it definitely worth more than USD$9.50.

If Bourne wears a Rolex in there, it would even be better.
Too bad Rolex doesn't really advertise like that.

Loved it, the series has been my favorite since the first movie. It's very rare that a good sequel exists, let alone a sequel to a sequel. It was amazing :)

This film moves with great rhythm, excellent acting, superb plot, marvelous cinematography, and a feel of realism that forces you to suspend disbelief very little, if at all. Hope that helps.

best,
unclesallie

Great flick! David Webb is badass! Judging from the bracelet, I think he was sporting a TAG. I saw my car (GTI MkV) too!

I saw it saturday and i thought it was awesome, even I like the book much better.
I didn't quite enjoy the way they ended it, was expecting more action before the end.

Decent flick and filled some holes. Some parts were rrrrrrrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyyy drawn out and took away from the whole thing. Long story short, Jason Bourne kicked ass.

I have seen it this past weekend. Not bad, but it left as a cliff hanger as to whether or not this is the last one.

Just got back from watching this movie. Great action scenes, but the ending was a bit anti-climactic, although it did answer some questions.

Of course, I couldn't help but notice the several close-up shots of Bourne's Tag Quartz. I was seeing what the other characters were wearing, too, but with little success.

Good movie. But you need to have seen the first two. It's not like with Harry Potter (or LOTR) where the movie stands by itself.

Just saw it last night, guys.

I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and moved at the pace of greased lightning.

The car smash-ups were simply mind-boggling!!!

A must see for all Matt Damon fans!!

I was wondering that myself...I thought it was Breitling from the size/case but now that you mention it it probably was a Tag...that bracelet looked more like a Tag Link.

Positively a TAG LINK Chronograph. Couple of very good close-ups during the run of the movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, although whenever they stopped running/fighting/driving etc things slowed down a bit.

If you've seen one Bourne movie, you've seen them all since all three shared the same basic plot (who am I and how did I get here?). Nevertheless, this was my favorite of the bunch.

My only complaint: I was hoping that somehow, some way they'd bring Marie Helena Kreutz (Franka Potente) back to life. Man, she's hot. Still, at least they managed to work her in for a few seconds and that's better than nothing.

Saw it and I thought it was great - just don't like that jittery camera effect that they do... the first one (Bourne Identity) I think is still tops, but the last installment gives closure.

Thanks guys for pointing out what watch it was as I couldn't put a finger on it.

I agree...I also didn't like the fact that in this one the filming of the fight sequences were much tighter than the first two. You could at least follow the fight action in the first two...this one was just too frenzied with fists & elbows everywhere.

One thing that I didn't get - someone pls explain to me. Julia Stiles' character, she said that she couldn't stand what they did to him and she said you don't remember do you.

I don't think we ever found out who she was in his life. Was she a sister, girlfriend, fiancee?

Same here...no idea...I'm guessing/hoping that it's made clear in the books because that was never hinted up till that point in the movies. And then just dropped best I could tell.

great movies

We saw the movie on opening night, theater was packed and that added to the fun. Great flick! One piece of advice, sit towards the back of the theater. There's so much action that being a bit further back in the theater gives you a chance of seeing it better.

Good story, great action!

cheers
