Ken's Watches in Hong Kong
Hi
I need help regarding Ken's watches located in Wan Chai, they can find a Submariner date ceramic for me, I am tempted to buy but to be honest the shop doesn't make me feel 100% confident to buy from them. Any experiences from this shop ? Can it be trusted ? Many thanks |

Why do you feel you cannot be 100% confident with them? If I felt this way even for a minute, I would run not walk away. Buy the seller, not the watch.

Hi
I have dealt with Kens many times. Good bunch of guys, not always the best prices but I have never had a problem with the 10+ watches I have bought from them over the years. Why r u not feeling good about it?

Me too. I've bought / sold many watches through Ken's Watches (see signature). Actually they are my preferred dealer. In fact I just bought this last week.

Purchased my 16600 from the central location shop. Family was at the store and I was over the phone with them at 4am in the morning in US
Great service, great watch.

Have bought a few watches from them. Go to the Wanchai Branch where the Boss is based.
I believe they are honest enough. As with everything in China, business is business, wether you are friend or foe. I once found a Submariner there where neither dial nor case matched the (very low) serial no. After some talk w Ken, he "came to the conclusion" that the serial had been redone. Watch was not downright fake, but this would be highly questionable anywhere, in my opinion as questionable as fake. If you look for brand new or recent second hand (16,710, 16,660 14,060), you are safe. If you look for Vintage, especially the serious ones (1680s, DRSD, etc) make sure what you are doing before pulling the trigger. |

Earlier this year I purchased a Mil GV from The Oriental Watch Co in Causeway Bay. They are a 100% genuine AD, plus I saved a grand off the list price back at home in the UK. In fact outside of the street markets and trash shops I think HK is actually a very safe place to buy a genuine new or second hand Rolex.
