I might consider having one of these in future. Not a fan of Yacht Master in the 1st place, but eventually love takes time!

San Diego sunlight makes it really shine. The dial is amazing. Someone confirm
that the dial after they added the engraving is some what different ? Doesn't have that same crazy sparkle to/or it's more subdued ?

I haven't been able to find out the reason Rolex decided to make this subtle change between the older dial and the new dial and can't think of a conclusive reason but non expert speculated reasons might be increased durability/reduced cost of manufacturing/logistical change of manufacturing process/equipment/change of supplier???... Interesting nevertheless. |

I noticed that Rolex no longer lists the Yachtmaster (40 mm) as a man's models for watches. Anyone have any information? Is that model being discontinued? The 29 mm and 35 mm sizes are on the ladies' watch listings.

My wifes 35 mm Plat yachtmaster only has one bar underneath the Rolex crown. Also when I unscrew the crown I do not see an O ring like I do on my sub. I have searched and searched and can not find any info. Anyone have any input on this?

You are correct in your observation. I have held dozens of YMs with engraved rehauts and the dials are much "flatter" and do not sparkle anything like the previous dials. |

It is on the site, just buried under the Yacht-Master II link. If you click Yacht-Master II it is the first "Model" listed, followed by the TT, YG and YM II

I'm in again... I reckon I usually hear all four strings tuned in perfect fifths when I put my Yacht Master on! To me this piece is truly special in Black MOP

Just got my second Rolex yesterday and guess what? It's a Yatchmaster 16622 D2005!
Saw this at a local jewellery dealer last week, tried it on and 'wow' what a stunning piece. Was after a JLC initially to wear 'for best' but this Yatchmaster is just right. A bit of haggling and it came in at the right price too. Pictured below and with my Exp II... |
