FS: Rare Tudor Prince Date Hydronaut 'Tiger' Diver in 18K/SS, B&P
This is the watch that replaced the Tudor Submariner, and it is a looker . . .
It's a near-mint, rarely worn Tudor Prince Date Hydronaut Tiger dive watch, Ref. 89183P / 93553, in 18k yellow gold and stainless steel; like the Tudor Subs it is rated to 200 meters / 660 feet water resistance. The all-steel 41mm Oyster case features a screw-down case-back, a steel uni-directional bezel fitted with a matte 18k gold 60-minute, elapsed-time insert. The Tudor-signed trip-lock screw-down crown is also 18k gold; the red Tudor hologram is still on the case-back. The bracelet is matte and polished steel with 18k gold center elements; all the links are present, and the immaculate clasp features a flip-lock closure. The dial is a perfect white, with yellow metal hands and a quick-set date aperture at 3 o'clock. The Super Luminova luminescence on the tips of the hands and at the hours is excellent. The hack-set 25 jewel fully automatic movement is presently keeping chronometer spec time. Present are the inner and outer boxes, Tudor range brochures (in English and Chinese), the hang tag, and the warranty papers, with correct serial number, dated 18 September, 2006 by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery in Hong Kong. There is some wear and tear on the inner box from when the watch was removed and replaced for storage. Because of the dates on the Tudor brochures (3.2005) and the dating of the warranty papers, this watch appears to be among the very last manufactured and sold. You will never find a nicer example anywhere. $2099 plus actual carriage. Preferred forms of payment include a personal cheque, cashier's cheque, wire transfer, or money order. If payment is made by PayPal, 3% will be added for a US buyer, and 4% will be added for payment initiated in non-US funds. Please contact me through the board's PM or e-mail system. Postage will be determined by the service desired, and the delivery address or region. |
