Then about a watch

He showed me this box (it was full at the time but I'm keeping you guessing)

The watch sang such sweet songs!!

I'll Take says I

"Much wheeling and dealing later"...

Got it home...

Lift the lid....

What's in the box???

One of these ofcourse...

What?? you want more clues??

definitely Rolex..

Damn there is alot of plastic on this watch...

Oh is that the phone??

Haha, I KNOW what you got!

The SS GMT II 116710.

I remember that your AD (or was that your FORMER AD? ) calling you to say he had an SS GMT II just to let you know later that you could NOT buy it since you were "Number 2 on the waiting list"

I am VERY happy on your behalf!

If one deserves it, it is YOU, my friend!

Thanks Frostie

It just fits...

Bracelet is amazing, multiple adjustments and the polished links just go with the watch not blingy at all. The whole package works so well.

I'll try and post some sensible pics as soon as I stop shaking!!

In the meantime..

Happiness is a GMT with the maxi dial and the green hand

Wow, Clive!

It looks awesome on your wrist!

Did you read Mike's posts about the incredible precision of HIS GMT II 116710??

I believe you might have one of the best timekeeping Rolex models todate! It has the new parachrom bleu hair-spring inside

BTW: did you get the GMT II 116710 from the SAME AD that kinda f***........eh------ let you down last time?

I am a big gmt fan and i have 194 pics of the new 116710. I would consider happiness the 116710 with maxi dial and not a green hand but the traditional red hand allthough i think that the green hand is not that bad at all

Love the old GMT cos I travel a bit and a couple of time zones on the same watch is a big plus especially if it looks like a Rolex. The new version is even better cos you look at the marker not the green hand and then there's the bracelet and the ceramic bezel and.....

And IMO the Rolex GMT has the best dual time function. Nothing does dual zones better than Rolex. Changing zones is really easy. Pull out the crown one click and away you go. Have you ever watched other folk on the plane changing time on their watches? What a palava! GMT = One click on the crown back two hours not a problem AND the watch stays perfectly timed. In the meantime the bloke in the next seat is winding his Omega round and round the dial and then he asks you for the correct time!!

i have to agree with you my friend that GMT is the most practical watch and a true tool watch together with the Explorer 2. I just love their functionality. You can also use the gmt master as a compass. It is one of the best watches ever made. I love the classic and elegant look of the 16710 but i also love the sport and more formal look of the 116710. These two watches are a must

Miner, when you post your photos, could you take a couple side by side so we can see a really good comparison between the two ?
Congratulations on your new watch by the way.
