Rolex purchase

a friend of mine bought this watch and is trying to convince me that this is a genuine rolex that he bought from switzerland. I am so angry cause he thinks that i am an idiot . The serious thing is that he is not kidding at all. The funny thing is that this watch has a quartz movement My friend is such an idiot

I'm not experienced in spotting fakes, but the watch in this picture don't look right to me.

I know how you feel, I ever had a friend argue with me that the compact disc (yes the audial one) is being read from the top where the decals are and not from the bottom which it actually is. and believe me, idiots like these normally wins the arguement.

You`ll just have to settle for knowing you are right and he`s wrong.
He`ll find out he`s wrong when he attempts to have it serviced

I hope he didn't pay more for it than he would a hamburger, fries, and a shake!

I've got one that looks just like that, except it doesn't have a quartz movement. And the fonts are all correct on the face and bezel. And the metal doesn't look all screwed up. And the hands are right. And the bracelet isn't cheap looking. And I don't have a GMT bezel on my submariner. And it doesn't say its a yachtmaster, even though it's a submariner.

But otherwise it looks exactly the same.

Nice watch. I've never thought Rolex would place the crown not exactly in the middle of the crown guards. Must be a rare beast!

Not really unusual. He just went to the wrong country to buy a Japanese Rolex. He should go to Japan so he could get a Swiss product, I suppose.

. I read once that one guy was arrested in geneva because of wearing a fake rolex. He was sitting in a cafeteria enjoying his coffee but he didn't realise that rolex representatives were sitting next to him. The representatives spotted the fake watch and called the police. The guy got arrested he paid a fine of 1500 euros or 2055 $ and went to prison for 6 months. He was one unlucky guy

I agree... as long as you've already done your deed in trying to steer him to the right direction.
