Low(er) priced Rolex

Is it possible to buy a GMT or Sub (under 15yrs old and in resonably good condintion) for around $4000? On ebay, RT, ADs, pawn shops? Anyone have luck doing this?.....Nubie here, thanks for your thoughts.

Sure, that's very possible. However, as the price gets lower you also move further away from safe (or trusted) sellers. This increases your risk in getting a fake. The mantra "buyer be ware" was never more appropriate than when it comes to buying watches.

Welcome to TRF.

I think it is possible, but remember your more than likely going to have to to get it serviced no matter what you pay for it. This will make the overall cost a bit higher. A Sub ND might be your best bet.

Possible if you don't mind hollow end links, but you should budget in a service visit. Starting price tends to be closer to $4300.
