At over $8,000 for what use to be an entry level Rolex, I just can't see this watch sustaining much popularity after the initial rush to be the first one to own it. These should be heavily discounted one year from now (on the secondary market) just like the white and black Milgauss...........just my .02!!!!

There has been quite a buzz, and they do look pretty nice.
Only time will tell as to how popular they will be for sure.

You are correct on both points; but that does not change msrp; which is still below 8k!

Even if the sticker price is $7,750.- you pay over $8,000.- at check out. Except out-of-state sales. The sales tax varies from state to state and from county to county. Where I live the tax is 6.0% (Florida). In Europe the tax is included in the MSRP in most countries. |

Might not last forever but I predict it to be popular for quite a while.

Well, it was a niche player before, and now it's more expensive and has a giant orange hand..... Those that are fans will snap them up, but it'll never, IMO, be a SubC or GMTIIc.

I think 10 K is the breaking point for SS watches. Especially non Daytona's in this economy.
