I know it's been discussed, but I don't remember the consensus....
Is it harmful to wind a watch BACKWARDS in order to change the date???

If your movement changes the date when winding backwards then you won't damage the movement by doing this.

Which movements will allow that other than the one on the GMTII or Explorer II? Thanks.

I think all 15XX movements will do that...

That's excellent news. I was thinking on taking my 1675 on my next trip to Beijing but I was worried about not being able to reset the calendar when I get back as you gain a day.

I think the way who has least way to wind is the way that will not harm the watch!
