opinion

Hi, I have been lurking here for a long time but havent been posting. I have just bought the Explorer II 216570 last week. What a wonderful watch. However, yesterday I look at the watch thru the loupe and saw this minor defect. See the circle in red. Therefore, I would like to get the forum opinion what I should do?

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Normaly, I'd say, don't look at your watch with a loupe.
However, that would bug me....That's clearly something that should have been spotted in QC!
So my suggestion is to take it back and have it corrected!

This watch is authentic. Bought from an AD in Amsterdam. This watch is still no available where I am staying.

For what you pay for a rolex it should be perfect right down to the last letter.

No it is not really visible without a loupe, Godzilla.

Yes, I am thinking about sending it back to have it corrected.

It's this damn loupe business again isn't it.

I did the same and found a couple of things on mine.
If you can't see it with the naked eye - don't worry about it.
It's a beautiful watch - warts and all - is the way I see it.

The OP should go back to his dealer and ask them to rectify this "flaw". I would like to hear the response. I've got a feeling that they will offer to send it to the RSC for him rather than replace it.
If you take it back let us know how you make out.

I would bring it back to the place you got it from and ask them to order you a new dial.

I would want a replacement, and not be sent back to the factory for months.

I did this with my speedy when wasn't happy with the chrono movement, and had brand new one within a week. Question is will they be able to source one.
