Sorry, I don't really know much about them. Is there anything in particular you wanted to know?

I took a look and they seem ok, if not a little overpriced for what they are.

I think that Oris represents a better bang per buck.

I have a Luminox watch. The main advantage to them is they use tritium vials for luminosity and therefore are bright and don't need to charge as others do. The model I have has a plastic case and a washer system to seal the crown instead of a screw down crown. It also has a quartz movement, while normally I buy automatics. The watch itself runs fine. I have used it swimming some and have not had a problem although I am a bit wary of their "washer" system to secure the water resistance. If I were searching for a cheap dive watch again, I think I would prefer either the Seiko Monster or one of the Citizen Eco Drive models. The Luminox has great lume and this is their most distinctive feature. The battery in mine is scheduled for 7 years but you have to send it to the factory for replacement, is my understanding.

Get a marathon instead!

Luninox was supposedly made for the navy seals, but if they where they are no longer. Marathon and a few other "military" watches are issued. Don't believe the hype but they seem to be reasonably prices for what you get. And I am pretty sure they are swiss made. I looked at getting on for a while, just for a hiking and otherwise outdoor watch.

I have a Luminox Marine (SS with a blue dial), and have owned it for about three years now, with constant use and rare abuse. Great work/tool watch, the steel isn't 904L however. Scratches more easily... The watch itself seems pretty indestructable and I do not question its water resistance (20ATM is claimed). There is a diver's extention in the fliplock style band clasp. The bezel is unidirectional, and ratchets crisply. The tritium is excellent, on a very bright royal blue "sunray" dial that is perhaps bested only by a Rolex's. There is not a tritium marker in the bezel, a glaring weakness if used as a diver's watch. I do not believe the crystal is sapphire, I have actually encountered scratches. Luminox is indeed Swiss made, but the formerly SEAL-issued version was NOT steel, but plastic (yuk). Wonder who makes the movement? ETA perhaps? Price is comparitavely reasonable. Hope this helps. I intend to keep mine! Here's a pic that does not quite do it justice, I'm not really all that skilled (yet):

Luminox never took off until they began to get interest from the military. Not the Army, mind you, it was soldiers that started buying when they weren't pleased with what was offered at the px.

Then, Luminox expanded their line with more mainstream looking product that still retained the lume that made earlier stuff appealing.

Personally, I find Traser Watches, which employ the same lume technology with a more appealing product line.

They offer what some of us wanted from Luminox, a watch with a "military" look and an automatic movement. Their prices are also very reasonable.
