Stoat>>>

I'm glad someone seems to like the mud on the farm!

Very cute and as bold as brass!

He better not go near the chickens, though, or we'll be shooting him with a different kind of "canon"!!!

Mark, this thread is currently located one above the "What's for dinner?" -

Never had stoat - imagine it must be similar to ferret - which is ok.

You beat me to it Too Old!

Lisa, stoats are bigger and have a black tip to the tail. In cold climates the stoat will also turn White and become an ermine...

This is a print we've got which, though obviously a joke, actually gets the proportions about right.

Thanks for the clarification, Mark. But I thought an ermine was a mink with a winter coat?

Now, you're going to tell me a mink is the same thing as a stoat?

I'm so confused!

No, mink is bigger again and much more similar to a ferret or polecat. They are all different mustalids, the largest of which is the badger. (hence my extensive knowledge!)

Let's not get back into discussing the habits of Essex Girls again!

Pound for pound these are amongst the fiercest creatures on the planet... TOTALLY fearless!

I wouldn't fancy carrying one around... Take your hand off, friend!

All the mustalids are Nails... The Ratel is just the Nailsiest of the Nails!!!
(Ratels are also famed for rearing up in attack and, once rampant, their jaws are at about the level of a mans crotch!!!)

OMG - Honey Badger don't care. My husband and I were watching this the other night - the narrator had us laughing so hard we were crying.

Please watch this, people - it is a stitch!

Is it safe to drink your beer while looking at stoats?
