I only use a wallet. I just don't feel comfortable to flip out a bunch of notes in a clip in public when making a purchase..... Then again, I use plastic cash as much as I can thesedays... Cos I rarely have more than £20 cash in my wallet :lol;
depends on your setup, ive seen some of my mates with no more than $20, and a whole stack of cards. others, i have seen with stacks of $100s and no cards.

of course if you are the latter carrying stacks of $100s, maybe the money clip isnt such a good idea unless your aim is to show off. my money clip usually carries no more than $500 (budget for the week!) and the rest goes into my wallet.

Would I be right in saying a money clip is mainly an American/Canadian thing. I've never used a money clip nor know anyone who does. Maybe it's because our British notes are all different sizes.

I just use a fairly small Jeffery West wallet.

I think you are correct. The varying sizes of notes in other countries makes a money clip difficult to use.

yeah, understand your points.

but - with your weekly budget setup, do you always carry $500 with your money clip everywhere you go (and the rest goes into your wallet)?

I use a money clip and bought something called a "Callet" which is awesome...it is a skin for my iPhone that has slots in the back for my drivers lic. and 1 or 2 CC's. It is so practical and I always get great compliments on it. Highly recommend it.

So you loose your phone and your cards at the same time.

I also have these

But of course I never use them.
