what untimely and devastating news indeed. Yet another reason to enjoy life to the fullest every day and love and respect those around you and NEVER take life for granted.

RIP DOUG, beloved forum brother, and prayers and best wishes to his family and friends. Plain awful.

It is very sad to learn this tragic news.
Although Doug and I never met face to face, we made a few transactions over the past couple of years. Doug was a man of honor and his word was golden.
My condolences to his wife and family. TRF will miss you. RIP.

This is very sad to hear.

I hadn't had any interaction with him, but when a life is taken so suddenly and without warning, it is a shock, nonetheless.

Condolences to the family.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Doug and I spoke yesterday regarding a watch I had for sale here on TRF. He was very cordial, friendly, and we quickly reached an agreement. He sent a bank wire as payment for the watch. I notified him I'd follow up today after receiving the wire.

I missed a call this morning and realized it was from his area code. I checked my voicemail to hear a message from a distraught girl, who informed me she was his sister. She very sadly informed me Doug had died in a car accident early this morning and asked for me to send back the money. I called her and apologized for such a tragic loss. It wasn't easy hearing her weep over the phone and truly made me wish there was something I could do to comfort her. it goes without saying that I'll be refunding the bank wire.

My deepest condolences go out to Doug and his family. Rest in peace Doug. For anyone who knew Doug and would like his address to send condolences, please send me a Pm.

I can only assume he was buying the Cartier from you and possibly the Panerai. Doug and I spoke about your deal on Tuesday night. Doug was a good friend and I am deeply saddened with his passing. It is not fun waking up to that phone call. He also left behind children which makes the story even sadder.

Goodbye to a good friend and a great guy.

wow, that's not good, sad someone dies so young. I wonder how the sister knew he wired you money just the very night before, just seems too soon for something like that.

Doug was the brother I never had........so many memories. I helped get him into this addiction years ago after meeting him in the pool cue collecting arena. Consumate honesty and integrity

Heartbreaking and tragic, rest in peace my brother
