14060M - Bezel

Hi,

Really simple question, no doubt. But, I can't seem to find the answer.

A lot is discussed about the new ceramic bezels, but what is the Sub ND's bezel made from? Is it still pretty tough (from scratches etc), even if not up to the ceramic's standard?

Thanks in advance.

It's aluminum like all older sub models and it scratches fairly easily.

Well like all things bang it hard enough it will scratch, but with the aluminium one if you do scratch it very easy and very cheap to replace when compared to the ceramic insert.

I'm pretty rough on my watches and wear them everywhere...I don't find that the bezel scratches easily. Guess I've been lucky...

Same here, bracelet clasp is pretty scratched but not a mark on the bezel after 3-4 years.

Not very technical but i have put a small piece of helicopter tape on the clasp of my 14060m You can feel the tape touching my laptop but it protects the clasp. Picked idea of thetape i use on my mountainbike!

Yes, I know it from cycling too. Neat idea, although I can live with the odd scratch as I use the watch...

How much does a replacement bezel insert cost from an AD? Can an AD even order one still?

I've seen a few come up on TRF here and there and the price variation is quite high.

It's a current model, and the bezel can be replaced easily by an AD. It's £30 in the UK so guessing around $50.
