Happy Holidays All!
I have my 8.6 mil 16750 in for a full interior service, pressure check, new acrylic crystal and 1 year warranty @ Time Delay (of course not touching the dial, hands or case).
Per my research, Time Delay is a large 20 + year old reputable Rolex service company in Dallas.

The interior service is $375 including an aftermarket main spring - or $450 (an extra $75 to include a Rolex mainspring).
At this point I opted for the Rolex mainstring.

I have 2 questions:
#1 - would you pay the extra $75 for the Rolex mainspring?
#2 - anyone have experience good or bad with Time Delay?

#1. Yes, in the future, perhaps it may be serviced at RSC and they'd not like an aftermarket main spring. Keep it original, in the grand scheme of things and considering the value of the piece $75 extra would not be an issue for me.

#2. No, but the service price sounds very reasonable.

#1 - I think so. $75 on a complete service of $450 seems reasonable. In the instances where the Rolex part vs. aftermarket part (if something movement-based) are hundreds of dollars apart, I'd prob opt for the aftermarket part if well made.

#2 - Sorry, no idea.

I think a service at a RSC would not cost much more.
the price would also include the mainspring and crystal plus tube and crown as well as getting a 2 year warranty. Service papers from RSC would also be a plus!
Of course there would not be any after market parts!

I wouldn't even take it to a shop that gives the option of aftermarket parts because it's indicative of a low standard of work.

I always use original parts ( when needed ), no play with a watch of such value, and I do not refer only in the watch cost but the perception of "friend" in my mind.

I like my "pal" to be TOP condition
