Dan, you were absolutely right! Big hit! Welcome aboard gents. On that note, if anyone is local (Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area) and wants to set up a GTG we have a great oppportunity on Jan. 23rd. Bongos Cuban Cafe located in Hollywood inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is hosting their monthly cigar dinner that night. I had the chance to attend one last year and it was fantastic. It's a 3 course dinner with each course paired with a cigar and a cocktail. This upcoming one features Grey Goose cocktails and Room 101 cigars. You essentially get 3 cigars, 3 drinks, an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert all for $39. If we have enough members interested maybe we can even get a group rate! Anyone interested?

Count me in, love a good stogie. Unfortunately in the winter I rarely get to enjoy a stick. I was in Mexico over the new year and enjoyed 1-2 per day, heaven.
I bought a box of Cohiba lancero's for a family friend who helped me get my fiance's engagement ring at a great price. He's saved me and my groomsmen a stick for the big day. One more thing to be excited out on the big day, April 21st.

Clark, you and I are on the same boat my friend! I'm getting hitched on July 27th. Enjoy that stick on your big day!

I'd love to be a part. Been a daily smoker for almost 20 years now. La Gloria Cubana Churchill's and Wavell's at home and Montecristo #2's when I'm out of the country. Even considered getting the biz for awhile.

Montecristo #2 is my go to stick whenever I'm out of the country. I dare even say it's my absolute favorite.

With proper aging they would make a great everyday cigar - give them time and be patient and they make for an enjoyable 1 hr to 1 hr & a half smoke. To answer your pairing question, I would go for a McCallan 12 or a Glenfiddich 18.
As for the GTG idea, I'm up for it, sounds like a good idea

I am in, and we should do one of the GTGs at the shop where I work one or two Sundays a month.

It is called Cigar Connection, and it is located just outside Washington DC in Arlington, VA. Oh, and the owner has a Rolex Turnograph.

Sounds cool, I am there a lot, but not that week.

I like Cuenca Cigars and their Montecristo lounge in Hollywood, FL.

Hiram,

Look what I found waiting for me when I got home today!

Thank you, my friend. I'll let these age a bit in the humidor and see if I can't reciprocate with a few you might not have had before.

Unlike you southerners, we're dealing with a windy, freezing cold snap.

All the best,
dP

No, it is in downtown Hollywood. Great husband and wife owners, Miguel and Anna. Super chill and generous.

Regular semi-daily smoker here. When I'm not away with work - which I currently am, so no pics I can post yet. See avatar.

Cohibas smoke so great! They are even better aged! I just smoked my last Cohiba Robusto a few days ago that I had aged for about 2-3 years and I was so taken back by how good it was; and I've been told that 2-3 years is young.

I love cigars smoke at least 3-5 sticks a week, the Rocky patel 1990's are one of my favorite, however recently I have fallen in love with the Nat Sherman Bankers.

Count me in. Although I'm not a Rolex owner (yet). I am a big cigar aficionado. Just smoked Liga Privada Undercrown tonight. Djhiram those Mi Amores are some of my favorite cigars, hope you enjoy them. If there are any cigar smokers in the Seattle area you can frequently find me at the Lit Cigar Lounge in the Snoqualime Casino.

And another, count me in.

Some history..

Smoked cigarettes from 15 til I was 45 then gave up. Smoked lots of cigars as well, at parties and events, but I smoked them like I would smoke a cigarette so the experience was not good.

After 7 years off tobacco, I decided to give myself a Christmas present, Cohiba Maduro 5 and tonight, I did the job properly, sunset on the patio with a glass of Laphroaig.

An hour of absolute bliss. The result was sensational The ultimate stress relief.

Like I say, count me in.

PS I was wearing a Panerai Is that ok?

PPS I have a Partagas Series D No4 set aside for tomorrow night but I will be sure to wear the SD. Might even takes some pics...

Things can only get better.
