New AP RO - Pics and more
So after being through virtually every Rolex sports model I thought i would break the routine and try something new. After considering quite a few brands I ended up choosing an AP RO 15300. This is a brand and watch I have always admired. I remember when buying my first Sub LV about 3 years ago the Hatton garden dealer had one (albeit a jumbo, but very similar) and was just blown away by it. In the past I've always been put off getting an AP due to my watch flipping abilities, but more recently this has slowed down. I've learnt to appreciate what I have and plus prices are getting beyond the pocket change level...
My brand new AP was ordered just before Christmas and it arrived earlier this week and it hasn't been off my wrist since then. It is just such an a special watch, pictures do not do it justice. It feels so solid and the level of detail is just brilliant. To the dial to the case to the bracelet, it all just shimmies and sparkles in natural daylight. Plus it's pretty cool to gaze at the movement through the clear caseback. As much as I love this watch I know it's not perfect. The bezel is going to be a scratch/ding magnet...the going down the pub watch is still going to be my Sub LVc. Also the bracelet doesn't have any micro adjustment, easy link or glidelock which I've become accustom to on the modern Rolexes. It does fit very well, just sometimes when my wrist swells a bit it could do with a tiny bit of space. Anyways, here are some pics of the new beauty and a few comparison shots with others in my collection. Next to a 39mm Exp I Next to a 40mm Sub LVc Next to a 44mm Pam233 Final group shot |

Thanks for the comments. Yes the AP is awesome and I'm wondering if its the first of many! Is it wrong to want another one after only having just got my first??

Great addition!
APs finishing is second to none in my opinion and the Royal Oak bracelet is just amazing.
